Customer Need/Request:
This past summer the Municipality of Leamington, Ontario completed their multi-million dollar Waterfront Market Plaza revitalization project, which included a Customized Multi-Post Super Shade. This unique request required our team to work with the existing lamp posts to serve as the anchor points for the shade sails, combining the modernness of the fabric with the historic-looking posts.
Manufacturing & Installation Overview
Design & Scope of Work:
Partnering with the Municipality of Leamington on this major waterfront project, the Sun Shade Co. team designed and manufactured 5 shade sails to fit perfectly between 7 existing lamp posts, each post measuring 10′ tall. These uniform shades were made in our Lakeshore facility using Gale Pacific Commercial fabric, with Sky Blue selected to nicely match the colour scheme of the nearby playground.
This project installation was straight-forward with the lamp posts previously installed, all there was left to do was hang and tension the shade sails. An aerial view of the sails reveals the real aesthetic to the symmetry of this design.
Congratulations to the Municipality of Leamington on the successful completion of their waterfront revitalization, and thank you for choosing Sun Shade Co. as your Shade Sail partner in this incredible community improvement project!
