Sun Shade Co. started with two guys who had a vision—to build something of our own, right here in Canada. We’re not some massive corporation; we’re just two hard-working business owners from Belle River, Ontario, who saw an opportunity to create high-quality, Canadian-made shade structures and shade sails.
From day one, we knew we wanted to do things differently.
We aren’t interested in cheap, imported products or cutting corners. Instead, we focus on quality, craftsmanship, and ensuring that every structure we manufacture is built to last in our Canadian climate.

Phil and Erick—two entrepreneurs who took a leap of faith to build something meaningful. We come from different backgrounds but share the same goal: creating durable, functional, and stylish shade solutions that Canadian businesses, schools, municipalities, and homeowners can rely on.
But we’re not the only ones running the show. If you ever visit our shop, you’ll likely be greeted by Pepper—Phil’s dog and our unofficial quality control supervisor. Pepper spends her days making the rounds, keeping morale high, and reminding us when it’s time for a break. She’s a big part of what makes our workplace feel like home, and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
